The super eagles of Nigeria defeated their West Africa counter part, Cote d’ivoire 2-1 at the quarterfinal stage of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nation, AFCON 2013 in South Africa.
Goal from Emmanuel Emenike in 43 minute sees the eagles lead through to the half time, while Ivorian Cheikh Tiote boasted the Elehpant hope after securing an equalizing goal in the 50th minute.
Sunday Mba sealed the victory for Nigeria after scoring in the 78th minute.
The eagles are through to the semifinal and faces another West Africa nation, Mali.
