Oyo State Governor Loses Mum

The death has been announced of Alhaja Sikirat Abeje Ajimobi, mother of the executive governor of Oyo State, Mr. Abiola Ajimobi. She died at the age of 85.

According to a release signed by the Special Adviser to Governor Ajimobi on Media, Dr. Festus Adedayo, the late Alhaja Ajimobi joined her ancestors in her home in Ibadan on Wednesday after a brief illness.
The late Alhaji Ajimobu She would be interred in Ibadan on Thursday at 2 p.m. at her husband’s house, Johnson Awe Street, Apata, Ibadan.
Until her death, she was a renowned trader, devoted Muslim and community leader. She was survived by nine children.
